Message from Gill & Steve

Hi ladies,

 

Gill and Steve have decided to combine the two design teams and have just one team and one challenge per month. The digi challenges have not been as busy as expected. Gill now would like for each of us to use stamps/die-cuts/papers which will be sent out to us. Two samples from each set of new stamps, will be required from each teamie. These are then to be sent into Gill/Carol.

 

If anyone wishes to use digi's, these can be purchased from the website. The blog challenges will be combined, so please check the new dates/themes, when I have changed them on the blog. I will re-arrage all of the lists to combine everyone and then make one private blog . If you have questions etc. just let me know.

 

Also, the next stamp challenge will go live next weekend, if digi ladies, wish to include a card please let me know.

Happy New Year! Feb question ...

Happy New Year to you all. Hope you have had a good Christmas as well :) We had a lovely one, Jessica's 2nd Christmas so it was very exciting for us all.
I'm trying to be organised,  getting dates in my diary - February has add some lace as the theme but the pages says embossing?  Just wondering which theme it should be??

Hi ladies,

 

Our lovely Margreet is stepping down from the DT due to her mother being ill and she is caring for her.

 

We are going to miss her and her lovely cards but wish her well for the future.

I will be changing the blog project dates, so please check the dates and if you are unable to do your challenge project on a specific date, please email me.

LC Challenges 2016

Hi ladies,

 

Hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas? Ours was very quiet, lots of food, telly and games.  Have you ever played the chocolate biscuit game? You have to put a biscuit on your forehead and move it down your face into your mouth using only face muscles.  OMG such a hoot! We all had chocolate down our faces where it had melted and I was the loser, dropping mine on the carpet.  Give

it a go, its a real fun game!

 

Anyway, a while ago I asked everyone if they could let me have a challenge theme, one digi and one stamp for the 2016 challenges.  I have scrolled down some way and cannot find them, so for quickness, can I please ask, when you get a minute, just to leave me a one each for them both, thanks a lot!

LC Designs - New Facebook Group Page and Logo

Favourite Five Little Claire Cards of 2015

As it tends to get quieter in blog land towards the end of this month, I wondered how you would feel about doing a post featuring your five favourite LC cards of 2015?

It would simply be a blog post with photos of the five cards with links to the website and if you wanted to, you could say why the cards you've chosen are your favourites.

If you would be willing to take part, please let me know asap - I will put together a rota for posting so everyone knows when to schedule their post.

Through the Craft Room Door Blog Hop

Little Claire will be part of the Through the Craft Room Door Blog Hop which starts on 1 November - I'm helping Gill to set it all up.

Design Team Member - Avril

Hi ladies,

 

Just to let you know that we have asked Avril to stand down from the digi-stamp team.

 

We feel that she has not been able to commit to the team consistently and on time.

I will be moving dates for blog projects around to accommodate this, so please keep an eye on the lists and let me know if it will be a problem.

 

Can we also ask, that from next week, all of the design team members, please advertise the challenges weekly on the blogs and Facebook.  Hopefully, it will bring in more entries for our challenges.

 

We are advertising for two new digi-stamp members, so if you have any thoughts on this, please let me know.

Entry numbers 5, 8

As far as I understand number 5 has used a clear stamp set. I told her in my comment that I love her entry but that she cannot be qualified. Hope this is OK?
Number 8 isn't a Christmas card and has no link to our challenge.

A Request for Future Blog Projects

Hello everyone

I've been chatting to Gill and Heidi about the Digi Design Team and how we can promote Little Claire digi stamps more.

Little Claire is of course well know for their stamps and I wonder how many of our customers are digi stamp users and know what a wide range of digi stamps Little Claire sells.  For example do customers understand what digi stamps are and how to use them?

It might sound really obvious to us and it probably is to lots of customers but I know from speaking to fellow stampers that some of them have never used digis and wouldn't know where to start.

So .... in future blog projects, could we please ask you to 'go back to basics' eg explaining how to print a digi stamp, what the advantages of them are, how to re-size them etc?

I appreciate that we can't keep doing this but perhaps each person for their next project could include one element of this so that we can try and get people interested.  Each blog project is sent out as an e-mail newsletter so if you could include your hints and tips at the start of the project, this will appear on the e-mails that people receive.

Christmas Challenge & DT comments

Hi digi-ladies,

 

Hope you are all keeping well and have had a good summer? If you have children, like myself, they are back to school this next week, so yippee!!! Looking forward to lots of ME/crafting time.

 

Our next challenge goes live this Wednesday, thank you to all that have already loaded your cards.  Please can I have the remainder by 18:00pm on Tuesday evening.  Please can you include the prize of five LC digi- images in your posts.  Also advertise on Facebook and Twitter should you have them too.

 

As you know, Lynsey has now become a stamping DT member, so I have changed the project dates and commenting numbers to exclude her.  Please can you check your numbers and dates and if there is a problem, please do let me know so I can move things around for you.

 

Can you all please let me have a couple of themes for our challenges in 2016.  Am looking for some really different ones, so please get your thinking caps on and let me know what you think.  We have tried sketches in the past, but these don't seem to get a lot of entries.
